We're extremely excited to announce our latest platform: HotLunch ordering! The HotLunch ordering system will allow parents to select meals to purchase for their children and pay for them online through the security of Google Checkout. Administrators can then pull up lunch reports that can be filtered by day, month, and class as well as student specific meal cards. This new system is sure to take the hassle and confusion wasted piecing together HotLunch orders, and more time and effort can be dedicated to providing quality and nutritional meals for your students.

We will be rolling out a brand new communication platform: a chat utility, also known as 'instant messaging.' The new feature will allow parents and teachers to have personal conversations online, without the haste of phone calls or physical meetings. However, we recommend actual meetings at least once a year, and the Online Reservation System can help coordinate meetings. We are extremely satisfied with this new feature, and truly believe it will enhance the parent-teacher connection, streamline communications, and ultimately improve grades. The development team is wrapping up all development operations - for now - and working getting its first users. Some schools have already signed up for a trial, which will start in late march. ParentLocker's marketing team is currently working on getting the best listings available for large search engines like Google, Yahoo, and MSN, plus some other large marketing audiences like Facebook. On the development end, ParentLocker just released two major additions: * The Media Center: The media center allows schools to upload their own videos, sounds, music or any other media they may want parents, students, and faculty to see. The media center, in addition to the photo albums allows for great parent interaction from home, plus a virtual theatre where great school memories can be archived. * Community Pages: Community Pages are a great way to have your school develop an online network between teachers, parents and students. Each school course, club, sports team or any other group has a page that boasts its own calendar, files, discussion center, and other cool gadgets.
